Sexy Beast is a British film revolving around the events of when a retired gangster living out in Spain is called back for a last shot at a high-profile bank robbery by a previous mob boss.

This is the first film that I’ve seen all year, and it wasn’t bad at all! I found it a very interesting story, and the actors were all very good, especially Ray Winstone and Ben Kingsley, who were very convincing.

I enjoyed especially how brutal Ben Kingsley’s character: Don Logan was, and I found it almost hilarious how many swear words he managed to squeeze into a few short lines of dialogue, and the twist at the end of the film involving Logan was both confusing and exciting.

Overall, I’m giving this a 7.8 because it was very entertaining, and it has classic potentials, however there was perhaps not enough action and a bit too much chat in this to be seen as a true gangster film.
