The Break-Up is an American film about a man and a woman who eventually call it quits after two years in a relationship together, however they both stay together in their flat to desperately try and keep their possessions for themselves.
Normally, anything with Vince Vaughn, one of my favourite comedy actors, in it, I leap at the opportunity, however this was really disappointing. Basically, this wasn’t much of a comedy, with very few funny jokes in it, instead, it was more like watching two people have a full-blown argument for an hour and a half, which isn’t really what I want to watch.
Obviously, when a joke did pop up, and it was good, I enjoyed it as much as possible, but there just weren’t enough jokes in the face of constant arguing to make this enjoyable enough to watch.
Although the story was realistic, it was just not entertaining for viewing in my opinion, and even though the actors’ performances were perfectly fine, I did not enjoy watching this film, so that’s why it gets a 4.1.
