The Infidel is a British film about a London-born Muslim who discovers he is really Jewish, and then sets about learning all about his new family and culture.
This is one of the weirdest ideas I have ever seen for a film plot, however it was also very funny! Omid Djalili was perfect for this character, and he made every part of the story very enjoyable.
It was evident that this is quite a controversial story to cover in a comedic way, but it was done very well, and it was luckily very light-hearted and farcical throughout, which took my mind off of the actual issues of the story.
However, it was, at points, as with all very farcical films, quite frustrating and difficult to watch, which annoyed me a little, however the storyline and jokes during the film made up for it, so that’s why I’ll give it a 7.5.
