Argo is an American film about the true story of an FBI agent who organises the creation of a fake movie in Iran in order to get six American fugitives out of Iran.
This film was very highly acclaimed in the Oscars this year, so I was very expectant, and I was slightly disappointed by it.
I am fascinated by the situation of the Middle East in the 1970s, which meant that I was already aware of the story of this film, which took away a little bit of the suspense and excitement that I was meant to feel watching this film.
However, the film was directed and written fantastically, and I enjoyed watching it as a film, which is why I have rated it so highly despite not feeling the full force of the tension from the story, so I’ll be giving it a 7.8.
