34. Men In Black (1997)

Men In Black is an American film about a secret organisation of detectives who investigate extra-terrestrial activities, and a new guy comes in to help them save the universe from an evil alien invasion.

This is just a classic cool film, and I was definitely wowed by all of the gadgets and special effects; especially the neuralyzer, which makes you forget you ever saw an alien.

The story was really interesting and entertaining, and although it was the stereotypical: “We don’t have long to save the world from the evil alien invasion!”, the scriptwriters put some excellent spin and comedy on it, which was very enjoyable.

However, sometimes you can go a little over the top with the special effects, and I do feel that the ultimate battle with the massive alien was just a little too much in comparison to the rest of the film, so that’s why it gets a 7.3.
