Pineapple Express is an American film about a man and his drug dealer who end up being chased by hitmen and a corrupt police woman after one of them witnesses the assassination of the drug dealer’s boss.
This film was extremely weird. I thought it wasn’t actually that funny, and on that part, I was quite disappointed, but I really enjoyed the story and all of the action that was going on, which was definitely very entertaining to watch.
Despite the fact that there were a few stand-out hilarious scenes in this film, the majority of it was just not that funny in my opinion, as the whole atmosphere of the film was so action-packed and serious, based on the story, that it seemed there wasn’t really enough room for the comedy.
I also found the first half hour of this film to be quite boring, and it definitely took quite a while to get going, however once the main storyline really kicked in, I found it really entertaining, fun and interesting to watch.
Overall, I’ll give this a 7.1 because although it wasn’t too funny, I thought that it had a cool and exciting storyline that was great fun to follow.
