Kick-Ass 2 is an American film, and is the sequel to the comic action superhero film Kick-Ass. This time, Kick-Ass teams up with other wannabe superheroes, and goes around with them defending the Earth from a new evil league of super villains.
This was fantastic! I really loved the continuation of themes from the past film, such as the overly gory, yet extremely comic violence, some brilliant callbacks from Kick-Ass, and another exciting and massively entertaining story.
The one thing that also pleased me about this film was how it seemed as if it was perfectly accessible to anyone, even if you hadn’t watched the first film, as it has just such a simple, yet brilliantly fun story and atmosphere, so it was enjoyable for absolutely anyone.
Also, the way in which this went beyond the first film in terms of relations to comic books and excessive violence and swearing was hilarious in my opinion, and despite being more focused on the story and the action than in the more comedic first film, it was still a really funny film, so because of that, I’ll give it an 8.0, however I have to say it was still not as good as the first one, yet still brilliant.
