Goal! II: Living The Dream is a British/Spanish/German film which is the sequel to Goal!. In this film, Santiago Muñez is signed by Real Madrid from Newcastle, and he must help them to win the Champions League, however a few things go wrong along the way…
This was pretty much an identical story to the last one, and it seems to me now that Muñez can actually only score goals in the 90th minute, so why isn’t he at Man Utd? (Ha Ha.)
Anyway, the story was very cheesy and predictable, however it seemed that there was much less to do with football in this film, and it was more about dealing with his life off of the pitch, as well as a preposterous search to find his mother.
That was the main problem I found with this film, it took itself way too seriously, and the only reason that it was fun was for the bits with football matches in them, and also the fact that the overall shape of the film was identical to the previous film, so because of that, I’ll give this a 6.4.
