Amélie is a French film about a woman who decides to dedicate her life to helping those around her, and making others feel better about themselves, and although it seems as if she still cannot help herself, she finds love with a mysterious man at a photo booth.
This was a great film to watch! I really enjoyed this whole film, and although I probably didn’t get some of the more subtle French humour, it was still a very funny and enjoyable film for me.
As well as the brilliant comedy, this film had a fantastic story, and although it seemed as if very little actually happened, it was still a fascinating to follow, and it was very well written, as I myself was willing on Amélie to help herself, so it was very good to see that happen.
This was definitely a very pleasant film to watch, and with its nice story and hilarious comedy, I thought it was surely one of the best foreign (bar the USA) films I’ve ever seen, so that’s why I’ll give it an 8.0.
