Diary Of A Mad Black Woman is an American film about a woman who discovers that her long-term husband is having an affair, and after she is kicked out of her own home, she must find somewhere else to stay, with someone else to care for her.
You would think that a film with “Mad Black Woman” in the title would be a complete farce, but that’s not at all what this was. The entire film took itself way too seriously, and even when they introduced a crazy character in the form of the psychotic grandma, even she turned out to be serious-headed in the end.
Also, the comedy in this film was extremely poor. I think I only laughed once in this film, at the line “Whoop your arse!”, but it wasn’t a big laugh or anything, so that pretty much sums up the entire film.
The storyline was also really really boring, and absolutely nothing happened; it was probably the dullest comedy I’ve ever seen, because it was just focussing on the emotions and feelings and morals of the main characters, which was tedious!
Overall, I’ll give this 3.3 because it was not funny, it was VERY misleading, it was one of the most boring things I’ve ever seen, and basically everything in it was extremely poor.
