Corpse Bride is a British film about a man who was arranged to be married to a wealthy woman, however on a late night walk, he accidentally ends up marrying a dead woman, and she will not let him go.
Firstly, I have to say that I’m not the biggest fan ever of Tim Burton. Still, I watched this film with an impartial view, and I still didn’t really like it. The animation was annoying to me, and the comedy was really confusing, because it was hard to tell how comedic this film was trying to be, which ruined it quite a bit.
In terms of the story, that was interesting enough to keep me on for the whole 77 minutes, but the rest of the film was really irritating to watch, and along with some extremely frustrating characters, such as the corpse bride herself, I found it very difficult to watch this film.
Also, to really annoy me, they started singing random songs at random points, and there is nothing that I hate more than super-musical films…
Overall, I’ll give this 5.6 because although the story was alright, it was an extremely irritating film filled with poor comedy, annoying characters, and that weird animation from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
