Caddyshack is an American film about a series of crazy instances on a golf course, where one caddy wants to get an education from a rich man, but two turn up, and play to take him for themselves.
This was hilarious! I thought a 1980 farce film would be completely dated comedy, but it was not. It seems to me that this is basically just an American version of the Carry On films, but with a few less innuendos, and way more craziness!
I was mainly drawn this film because of Rodney Dangerfield’s character, Al Czervik, a rich man who wants to enjoy life on the golf course, because of his doppelgänger in The Simpsons: Larry Burns.
Also, Bill Murray’s brain-dead character was hilarious, and I thought that his full-blown war with the gophers on the golf course was completely stupid.
This gets an 8.6 because it was very funny, and made no sense whatsoever, but it was just such fun to watch, and was not boring at any point.
