Ratatouille is an American Pixar film about a rat in Paris who tries to run away from his normal, grungy lifestyle to be a chef in the most prestigious restaurant in the city, however in order to get into the kitchens, he befriends another chef who is not so good at cooking…
I was surprised by how entertaining this film was. It had a very poor plot line and extremely predictable jokes and overall comedy, but as usual, as it was made by Pixar, it had that sort of charm to make it nearly impossible to dislike it.
I have to say that this is probably one of Pixar’s worst films, down there with Brave, Cars 2 and Toy Story 3, but it wasn’t really that bad, because even though I knew exactly what was going to come up every step of the way, I still laughed at the majority of the jokes.
I loved the animation, the creation of realistic city landscapes and close-ups of fur were very impressive, and although the film was enjoyable, it had its flaws, and that’s why I’ll give it a 7.0 out of 10.
