Tangled is an American film based on the original fairytale of Rapunzel, and after a thief ends up in her tower, she is taken away from the place where she has spent her entire life, so she is about to experience the big bad real world for the first time.
This film was SO cheesy. It looked really annoying from the outset, and once they actually started singing songs, I felt like just walking away from the film. However, I persisted through the irritating songs, and the film actually got a little better towards the end.
The only reason I decided to finally watch this film was because it had been praised by many other critics, which I found surprising, and in terms of the story later on in the film, it wasn’t really that poor at all.
The story wasn’t especially interesting, but there was also some good comedy throughout that was designed for kids, but was still funny to watch, so with that against the completely cheesy face of the film, I’ll give it a 6.9.
