28 Days Later is a British film about an epidemic that hits the United Kingdom, and causes people to turn into killer zombies, and one man awakes from a month-long coma to find himself in this post-apocalyptic world.
Firstly, this was a very very depressing film to watch. It gave me a similar feeling to Dirty War, as I don’t really like to see my hometown, London in a completely destroyed state, and that’s not really a good thing, because when I watch a film, I want to be entertained, not highly depressed.
Also, I know that this is made by Danny Boyle, the director of Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours, both fantastic films, but this was just really disappointing, as it had a very tedious story, with action scenes very few and far between, and when they did turn up, they were just overly gruesome and irritating.
Overall, I’ll give this a 3.4 because it was a very boring, unnecessarily gory, annoying and extremely depressing film to watch for me.
