The Hangover Part II is an American film and is the follow-up to The Hangover. In this film, the wolfpack are in Thailand for Stu’s wedding, however on the night out, some crazy things go down, and the guys lose Stu’s fiancĂ©e’s brother, so they must use their skills to find him in the city of Bangkok.
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I’d heard that they made a second one, but they did! My main worry was that it wouldn’t be that original, and that was the main problem with this, the fact that the story was identical to the one in the first film.
However, the story doesn’t seem to matter very much in these films, as the comedy was still fantastically funny, being more and more frustrating, while remaining completely farcical every step of the way.
It’s also funny to see how Doug always seems to get left behind, as he seemed to leave the pack in the middle of their night out, and now that I’ve heard that there’s a third one coming out soon, I’d love to see if that little joke happens again.
Overall, I’ll give this 7.6, because it was basically as good as the first film, with some hilarious comedy and ridiculous scenes, but the story was too identical to the first’s, which was a little annoying, as it wasn’t very original.
