Animal Crossing: The Movie is a Japanese film based on the Nintendo game series Animal Crossing. The movie follows the life of Ai, who moves into Animal Village, and goes about her business meeting with everyone and helping around town, with some unexpected events along the way…
I really love the game Animal Crossing; it’s really good fun, but nothing really happens in it, because it’s just a sim game. That was the main problem with this film: nothing actually happened, but that was to be expected anyway.
All the Japanese animation and everything was really cool, and it was fun to see some of my favourite game characters animated into the middle of a movie, so it was mainly just a pleasant movie to watch, with nothing going wrong at all, but that seems to be a trend in all Japanese movies that I’ve seen.
Overall, I’ll give this a 6.5 because although absolutely nothing happened in the film, and there was no real story, it was just a very happy and nice film to watch; and definitely very relaxing with that lovely music in the background.
