And Now For Something Completely Different is a British film compiling all of Monty Python’s best sketches from their hit series: Monty Python’s Flying Circus.
You can’t discredit Monty Python when it comes to their ultimate sketches. I haven’t seen any of these sketches before in full, just heard of them in common usage, and when I finally saw them, they were absolutely hilarious.
Although every single thing in this film was completely random (and different), it was always entertaining, no matter what the topic was, and even though there were points throughout which totally nonsensical, I still loved watching every joke unfold in Monty Python’s classically chaotic way.
This film is, in effect, just a clip show, so it’s difficult to review anything in terms of the story, as there was none, but I found the links between sketches with John Cleese saying “And now for something COMPLETELY different” in a random location fantastic!
Overall, I’ll give this 8.1, because it is just an ultimate classic for sketch comedy, and everything throughout the film was utterly stupid yet hilarious to watch!
