Rushmore is an American film about an eccentric boy at Rushmore Academy, and a rich, middle-aged businessman who both fall in love with an English teacher, named Rosemary, and they come up with many ridiculous schemes to get her for themselves.
This film was quite good. I enjoyed the complete farce of every single character, being really stupid and desperate, which was very funny, however the overall story and impression of the film was quite dull and predictable.
I thought that this film was a very original idea, as Wes Anderson, the writer/director of this film, always comes up with, however I thought that it was actually just a bit annoying to watch throughout, not helped by the fact that this film revolved around some of the most annoying movie characters of all time.
Overall, I’ll give this a 7.2 because it was a very funny comedy, but many other aspects of the film were just pretty irritating and predictable, making it a little less enjoyable to watch.
