Monty Python and The Holy Grail is a British film which follows King Arthur and his knights’ extremely low-budget quest for the Holy Grail, and along the way, they come across numerous ridiculous obstacles.
This is one of the classic comedies from the last 50 years. I thought that it may have been bigged up too much, however it was absolutely hilarious! Every scene of the film was just completely stupid and farcical, however it was so much so that I couldn’t help myself from laughing at almost everything that occurred in the film.
I love Monty Python, and this is their ultimate creation, and what I think is the most genius about it is how they break through the barrier between the movie world and the audience, criticising their own production and story (if there even is one), which I feel makes it one of the funniest and most original comedy films out there.
This film includes many of the classically quoted comedy scenes, such as The Knights of The Round Table, The Knights Who Say Ni!, and the evil rabbit thingy, and because it is so respected and loved nowadays, nearly forty years after its production, and it is one of the most original comedy films ever, I’ll give it an 8.3…
