Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted is an American film about the Madagascar gang escaping from a ruthless French animal control officer by taking refuge with an animal circus from Zaragoza, and as they all become friends, the learn the true meaning of the circus.
I normally don’t expect very much from films that are third in an animation movie franchise, and having watched the first two films, and not enjoyed the second too much, I thought that this was going to be dreadful.
However, I enjoyed this very much! Obviously, the entire story was completely cheesy and predictable, however the comedy was almost as good as it was in the first film, so it was a lot more enjoyable than I had previously anticipated.
I especially liked the crazy, ruthless animal control office from Monte Carlo, as her character was both completely stereotypical, however a lot funnier than most animal control people in other films, so that was definitely a nice surprise for me.
Overall, I’ll give this 7.9 because it was in fact a very enjoyable and funny film, and it did exactly what it promised, which is to be a good kids’ film, even though it was extremely predictable.
