The Other Guys is an American film about two unappreciated and ‘loser’ New York City detectives who decide to start a large investigation to show that they can be just as good as the big boys.
To be honest, I wasn’t expecting very much from this film, as it looked as if it was going to have a very obvious storyline as well as quite poor comedy, however Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg were brilliantly funny, and surprisingly, the storyline was much less predictable and more enjoyable than I had thought.
This was definitely one of the most farcical cop films that I have seen, with some ridiculous backstories, such as the very nerdy and weak character, Allen, played by Will Ferrell being married to a supermodel, which was a great shock, and just completely stupid!
Overall, this gets a 7.9 because it was very enjoyable to watch, and also, I found the story great to follow, making it a much more interesting film than your average American comedy.
