Top Gun is an American film about an exceptional young fighter pilot who is sent to the elite Navy fighter squad, and there, he learns much about his attitude as well as his life.
Well, we might as well keep going with Tom Cruise films, however this film did not entertain me very much. I expected an typical action-packed film, however it was actually very dull to watch, as it was mainly about a love story, more than the world of the flying school.
Obviously, I found all of the fighting and flying action very cool and fun, however these scenes were in truth very few and far between, being separated by the overly lengthy sequences about the relationship between Maverick and his female flying instructor.
This is viewed as a classic film, but I don’t agree with that, because it’s just very boring, and the classic line: “I feel the need, the need for speed” was not as aggressive as I actually thought it was going to be, so it was overall quite a disappointing film, and that’s why I’ll give it a 6.2.
