Flipped is an American film about a young boy and girl who have known each other for a long time who end up developing feelings for one another, despite often hating the other.
Usually, I hate these type of slow, romantic films; however this was just incredible for me to watch! Although very little actually happened on the face of things, the entire story was brilliant, and it was also very thought-provoking to me throughout.
Initially, it seemed very cheesy and obvious, however the writer of this story managed to steer me towards thinking that it would be just a predictable plot, and then shock me numerous times when introducing a new idea, which was extremely entertaining.
This film is labelled as a comedy, even though there were not too many laugh-out-loud moments during the film, albeit it was light-hearted and very uplifting to watch, which actually has made my day, so that’s why this gets a 9.6, and goes in as the second best film of the year so far, just behind Slumdog Millionaire.
