Bean is a British film about an idiotic and eccentric man (Mr. Bean) who is sent to deliver a priceless painting to America and unveil it, although a few things go wrong along the way…
Rowan Atkinson’s character Mr. Bean is an ultimate comedy classic, and although it is very childish and idiotic, it is still a very funny idea, especially in this, the first of the Mr. Bean movies.
Throughout the film, it was evident to me how cheesy a story line this was, and therefore I was able to predict basically every mishap and chaotic act that Mr. Bean ended up doing, however that is part of the fun of watching this character, which makes it very enjoyable.
Obviously, some of the jokes in this film were just overly predictable, and therefore, they weren’t as funny to see, but on the other hand, there were numerous scenes which reduced me to tears with laughter.
Overall, this gets a 7.0 because it was quite funny indeed, however it was also a bit too cheesy and predictable to be a great comedy story.
