The Rocky Horror Picture Show is an American musical film about a mad transvestite scientist who lives in a haunted house and tries to create the perfect ‘toy-boy’, while visited by two newlyweds.
I think this is possibly one of the most bizarre and farcical films I have ever watched. It was of course very funny at points, and the main two songs: “Time Warp’ and “Sweet Transvestite” were entertaining, however there were periods of the film which were actually quite boring.
I have seen the stage show of this film, and I’m afraid that the movie wasn’t as entertaining as the play. Initially, it is extremely ridiculous, and it just pursues with its farce from then on, with ridiculous characters, such as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, played by Tim Curry, who, in my opinion, was perfect to play the mad scientist.
However, the ending scene and song was extremely boring, and it just went on for too long, so I totally lost my attention, and overall, the story was not actually funny enough for me, so that’s why I’ll give it a 6.6.
