The Starving Games is an American film, a total parody of The Hunger Games, where Kantmiss Evershot must fight to defeat the opposition in The Starving Games, where a couple of leftovers are up for grabs.
I always like to see parodies of popular films, because they give you the opportunity to see other people mocking the flaws of a movie publicly, which you might not see from time to time, and they do often have some good comedy in them.
As for this film, I must say that the overall ideas weren’t that bad, bringing in many different aspects of popular culture from 2012-13, making it that little bit easier to relate to, and therefore perhaps funnier, however it was that that led me to believe that this film won’t be that funny for very long, as the majority of the jokes will be incomprehensible in 2 or so years, or even months time.
For now, though, it was quite entertaining. Although it solely consisted of the same idea, making fun of endless things from the original film for the whole duration, which did mean it became a little repetitive, there was a long enough period where I did enjoy myself in watching this film, which was a little surprising to see, as it was just one endless joke stretched out for over an hour.
Overall, I’ll give this a 4.6, because it was sort of funny now, but in reality, it’s not that good for everyone to watch, it’s quite moronic, and will die out very soon.
