GoldenEye is a British film, and is the 17th James Bond film in the series, and it follows Bond trying to stop the world being destroyed by his old friend-turned enemy: 006’s nuclear space weapon.
I enjoyed Die Another Day so much yesterday, I thought I might as well keep going with James Bond, and although this was not as exciting to me, it was just as entertaining.
This is Pierce Brosnan’s first film as 007, and he delivered highly in it, and I especially enjoyed the bungee jump at the very beginning of the film off of a giant dam, as it was very cool.
In comparison to the other Bond films that I have seen, I thought that this was a little bit slower than normal, and although it was filled with great explosions and action, the story was just a little bit boring for James Bond.
Overall, this gets a 7.4 because it was very enjoyable to watch, as are most Bond films, however it didn’t have the feeling of as classic a story for 007 that I expected from it.
