Angus, Thongs And Perfect Snogging is an alleged British film about a 14-year-old girl and her life as she pursues a boy at her school to be her boyfriend, while trying to keep her family and friends all together.
The reason I call this an ‘alleged British film’ is because the overall atmosphere of it was just so similar to the normal American teenage stories; the only thing British about this was the overuse of the word “pants” in the wrong context and the fact that it was set in Eastbourne, which I imagine is where the writer of the original book is from.
I’ve also never watched a film which I have experienced to be so irritating and stupid, where I found myself telling all of the characters to shut up every minute, and as well as that, I think the principal character of this film takes the cake for the most infuriating and ridiculous main character of any film I have ever seen.
This also had a very poor story and not at all funny comedy, and the only positive things I would have to say about this is that it had a small, but very funny twist at the end, and quite a good soundtrack, but apart from that, it was not at all enjoyable to watch, so that’s why it gets a 4.7 from me.
