Ghostbusters is an American film about a group of ghost exterminators who do battle with an evil invasion of ghosts in the city of New York.
This is evidently a classic film, and the story was definitely entertaining, and although the special effects weren’t great, that can be excused because it was 1984.
I am a great Bill Murray fan, and I love all the films I’ve seen him in, and his performance in this was no different, and I also thought that all of the other Ghostbusters were good actors too.
However, I found that the story and plot did get blown completely out of proportion by the end of the film, with the evil possession of Sigourney Weaver, and then a massive space battle with the King of the Ghosts or something on the top of an apartment block.
The massive Marshmallow Man was really cool though, and I was laughing a lot at it walking through the streets, so for the comedy, it was very good, however it became a little too ridiculous at the end, so that’s why it gets a 7.
