The Witches Of Eastwick is an American film about three women who wish for their dream man, and when he arrives in their town, they couldn’t be happier to meet him. When they find he has magical powers, though, and that he uses them for evil, they must do everything to stop him from terrorising Eastwick.
This was completely and utterly ridiculous! I thought that it had quite a funny story, along with some good comedy, plus Jack Nicholson for extra acting perfection, but it did seem to be a little over the top with all the fantasy rubbish, which was very annoying to watch.
The film was enjoyable to watch for the first hour and a half, however after that, it seemed to tail off into some ridiculous spiritual nightmare that was totally preposterous, and not at all believable, such as Jack Nicholson turning into a giant dinosaur with his face on it, similar to Professor Lazarus in Doctor Who.
Overall, I’ll give this film a 6.7 because it was quite an entertaining film, filled with good humour throughout, but it did go a bit nuts with the fantasy and magical powers, so that was a little disappointing.
