10 Things I Hate About You is an American film about a new kid at school who wants to ask out the most popular girl in school, but can only go out on a date with her if her mean sister is dating, so he must set about finding someone to date her.
I know that sounds confusing, but it was the simplest way I could put it. Anyway, this film was fantastic! The story was not at all confusing, in fact very interesting to follow, the comedy was absolutely excellent, and all of the characters in this film were brilliant!
After the film, I found out that this is based on the Shakespeare play ‘The Taming Of The Shrew’, which really surprised, as this just seems like a normal teenage romance sort of film, so it was definitely very clever how the writers managed to adapt the older story to be more modern.
Everything in this film was funny, and the story was surprisingly unpredictable, making it a great delight to watch, as it was entertaining all the way through, so because of that, I’ll give it an 8.2.
