The Bucket List is an American film about two ageing men who, after bonding in a hospital room, decide to go on a worldwide trip together to complete ‘The Bucket List’, a list of all the crazy stuff that they wanted to do in their life.
First of all, there is no way that this film could be classified at all bad, because it has possibly the two coolest actors around in it: Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. How can you fault them?
The one thing that I can fault, though, is the fact that this film took absolutely ages to get going. I think the whole of the first third was taken up with the two discussing their lives and lives’ ambitions together, which did get a little boring after a while.
However, the story became fascinating when the whole thing kicked off half an hour in, as it was intriguing and delightful to see the two men travel around the world and experience all that joy, while as well as that, it was still a funny and entertaining film to watch.
Overall, I’ll give this a 7.1 because although it started very slowly, it was a very entertaining watch for me once the main story started.
