Parental Guidance is an American film about two grandparents who are called to look after their grandchildren while the parents go away on holiday, but their old school methods of parenting does not fit in with the way that it’s done now…
This was a very cheesy film, but I still enjoyed it quite a bit! The story was poor, but the comedy in the film was great; not at all irritating, just farcical and good fun. Also, I thought that all of the actors were great, both for the adults and the kids.
Speaking of which, Billy Crystal really played this role well, and it really made me enjoy this film a whole lot more, and while he’s being such a cool and nice guy in this film’s story, the parents are rigid and annoying people, so I definitely took a side while watching this, making it good fun to watch.
Overall, I’ll give this a 6.9 because although it had a bad story and was extremely cheesy, it was a nice film to watch, with some very funny comedy throughout.
