Superbad is an American film about two high school students who promise to bring drinks to a party, but after their plan to buy the alcohol goes haywire, they try to reach the party without the promised booze.
This was a very funny film! I loved the way that the whole film was split up into two stories which eventually linked up in the end, the majority of the jokes were fantastic, if not a little cringeworthy, with some being absolutely hilarious!
The story following Seth and Evan was a little predictable and normal, as I’ve seen numerous high school films with almost identical stories, but the story that followed the two incompetent police officers and the allegedly 25-year-old ‘McLovin’ was one of the funniest things I have ever seen, as the concept of two police officers adopting a victim of a crime is just so ridiculous, yet it was presented in such a brilliantly realistic way.
The film had some great comedy, some jokes were very cheesy, some were a little moronic, and some were unbearable to watch, as they were so awkward, but mainly, they were all fantastic jokes, and along with a very entertaining story, this was a very good film, so that’s why I’ll give it 7.5.
