Escape From New York is an American film about a convict who is called up to rescue the President of The United States after he crash lands in the middle of Manhattan, now a maximum security prison.
Firstly, I have to say that this film was REALLY BORING. And when I say boring, I mean boring. The premise was fantastic, and I was really looking forward to watching this film, but I was seriously disappointed by the whole thing.
Obviously, the film is now a little dated. What seemed like a thrilling futuristic concept is set in a time that is now 16 years ago, making me feel as if the whole thing is complete rubbish, as it was wrong about this fact, even though it is of course complete fiction.
There was nothing that I really liked about this film, the main character was very annoying, the ideas were stupid, and the landscapes were very depressing to look at, so all in all, this film was very very disappointing, and that’s why it only gets a 2.0 from me.
