Couples Retreat is an American film about four couples who all go to an island in the middle of the island, designed to help them with their tiring marriages, however they do not realise that the itinerary including marriage counselling, is in fact not optional for them.
I thought that this was a very average film, but definitely a bit worse than I was anticipating, as it has a very entertaining initial concept, however I felt that it was not presented in such an entertaining way, so I was a little disappointed by this film.
The comedy was perfectly fine, with entertaining enough jokes coupled with a decent enough storyline to keep me interested, but this film was surely at least 15 minutes too long, and many scenes could have been cut out of the film, and it would still have been alright.
Overall, I’ll say that this film was alright to watch, with moderately entertaining jokes and story, even though it was a little disappointing, so that’s why it gets a 6.8 from me.
