Hall Pass is an American film about two married men who are given a week off from marriage by their wives, and for that week, they have the freedom to do whatever they want to.
This idea was a really weird one, as I don’t think it would work in reality to improve your marriage by stopping it for 7 days, but perhaps that’s just me. In terms of the film, I found it to be quite funny, albeit extremely frustrating, however the story was surprisingly good.
I usually love Owen Wilson in these types of films, however I don’t think that he was actually that good in this one, even though he playing a pretty identical character to the one he played in Wedding Crashers.
However, I thought that Jason Sudeikis, playing the more boyish and immature man, was absolutely hilarious in this film, with all of his jokes being a lot funnier than anyone else’s…
Overall, I’ll give this a 7.3, because although it wasn’t the funniest film in the world, it was a great idea, with a fun story, and although some parts were very annoying, it was all in all a very enjoyable film.
