Fantastic Mr. Fox is an American film based on the classic book by Roald Dahl, about a middle-aged fox who returns to his old days of raiding farms for food for his family, however he is met by fierce force from the side of the farmers.
This was genius! Putting a classic kid’s story like this together with the brilliance of Wes Anderson, and you get a great comedy film like this, enjoyable for absolutely anyone. I also loved how the story was made into a sort of Hollywood-film-style, as it made it much more modern, and also very funny.
As well as the great story, there were some really big names behind the voices of the main characters, names such as George Clooney, Meryl Streep and Bill Murray, who I thought all fitted their characters perfectly, making it seem like a film with a massive production value, which was very funny.
The animation was also very cool, as it was nice to see someone revert back to classic stop motion in comparison to just using CGI to create the characters, so overall, I’ll give this film a 7.8, because it was brilliantly funny, perfect for anyone, and absolutely genius.
