Cloudy With a Chance Of Meatballs is an American film about a young inventor who creates a machine that can convert water into food, and after he sends the machine into the clouds, whenever it rains, food falls from the sky, however things get a little out of control once it all gets too much.
It’s nice to see someone finally put a story behind this old fantasy of making stuff fall from the sky, but this was definitely not the greatest story ever told. This was probably one of the most cheesy (get it?) and annoying animation films I have ever seen, and it had one of the most stupid names ever for a film, which put me off watching it for 4 years.
I enjoyed the design of the characters and city, which was very fun and all, and perfect for a kids’ movie, however I felt I wanted a little more from this movie, perhaps a good story, or even just some funny jokes to enjoy, but that never really came, instead, it was just a predictable and crazy movie designed for children.
Overall, I’ll give this a 6.0 because it was not that funny or interesting to watch, even though it was quite enjoyable, and in reality, it was all just a bit of a laugh.
